My interests lie in the smallest of the small, viruses, and their interactions with hosts. My lab studies how ecological conditions affect the way viruses evolve. We mostly work with bacteriophages and rotaviruses. Additionally, we are working to improve pathogen surveillance by sequencing RNA and DNA obtained from wastewater.
